Italy to attract winter sports fans

Many winter sports fans are set to travel to Italy this Christmas, new research has revealed.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), the country's mountains have received strong levels of snow during the last few weeks.
This has led to a large proportion of people booking holidays in Italy over the Christmas and New Year season in order to enjoy activities such as skiing and viewing property in Italy.
The organisation commented: "After last year's woeful ski season, early snow conditions in Europe have been fantastic".
Figures from ABTA also revealed that a record number of people from the UK were choosing to spend the festive season abroad this year.
About 3.5 million people are set to leave the country in the next ten days and celebrate overseas.
