The island of Sicily has a number of buildings in need of renovation, according to an industry expert.
In news which may interest people looking for property in the area, Luca Santoro, from House & Loft told the Daily Mail that the island is "already extremely popular" with holidaymakers from Italy.
She added that Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, has a number of "bustling towns", including the capital Palermo in the north and others including Catania, Messina and Syracuse.
Ms Santoro said: "Over the next 15 years I suspect we will see huge changes in the island's property market making it increasingly similar to the market in Sardinia."
