EasyJet reveals new routes to Italy for 2010

24 November 2009

Low-cost airline easyJet has announced that it will launch new routes to Italy next year.

The major expansion will be enabled by the arrival of six new Airbus A319s in early 2010, increasing the total size of the carrier's fleet to 185 aircraft.

From London Stansted, easyJet will introduce daily flights to Cagliari on the island of Sardinia from 28 March.

The airline will also expand its offering from the UK with the introduction of a new service from Manchester to Helsinki from 28 March, along with a link between Liverpool and Malta that will be available from 13 June.

In Europe, easyJet will offer flights from Paris to Helsinki, Catania and Agadir, along with connections to Malta, Casablanca, Agadir and Oporto from Milan, all of which will be launched in February.

The additional services will bring the total number of routes operated by the carrier to 449, which are spread across 112 airports in 28 countries.
